Dear Honorable Mayor Salas and Chula Vista City Council:
The drive to bring vibrancy to Chula Vista's Bayfront has seen many new
possibilities presented which have the potential to enhance its development Among
these exciting new possibilities is the Village Club Card Room's interest in relocating
to the long vacant property located 271 Bay Blvd. I am encouraged that this new
venture will both bring a viable option to Chula Vista's greatest asset, the Bayfront,
and eliminate a future potentially-blighted condition.
1 would like to voice my support of the relocation to an area that will create a new
element of safety, grovth, excitement and fun for the region.
Please accept this letter in support of the Village Club Card Room.

Oear Honorable Mayor Salas and City Council Members,
I am writing in support of the V11age Club Card Room. They have been good stewards for ou
community over the past sixty years. They have consistently supported many neighborhood
organizations and nonprofits organizations that rely on the generosity of businesses like vllage
Club Card Room to do important work in the community. In today's economic ernironment it is
encouraging to see a family run company so committed to supporting the nonprofits that serve
our community.
I believe Village Club's mave to Bay Boulevard will benefit the community. The new location will
provide a newly renovated space for people to enjoy. The buildings on Bay Boulevard have
been improved inside and out and will provide much more needed space. The new Iocation will
also provide sufficient parking so people can park in parking lots instead of on neighborhood
streets.
Please support the move of the Vllage Club Card Room.

Dear Honorable Mavor Salas and Chula Vista Cin Council-
I iould like to brine to }our attention the benefits of Villaee Club Card Room relocating to the
Chula Vista Bay front. The relocation has the opportunin to attract visitors and residents alike to
this location in a safe and comfortable commercial development. The Bay front is a Chula Vista
landmazk and ve, as a ciry, have been talkine about developing it for too lona. We finall}' ha-e
renderines and a concrete plan that ill attract visitors and residenu to visit and remain in our cin,
which is crucial to our local economv.
Likewise, moinQ to the Bav front ill proide a lareer facilin and parkin2 lot for Village Club. A

Dear Mayor Salas and Chula Vista City Council,
As a long-time Chula Vista resident, I actively support the effort to relocate Village Club Card Room in Chula
Vista from Broadway to Bay Blvd.
With this move, Chula Vista's economy will see considerable benefits.Their outgrowth has been visible for
years with its constantly packed card room and parking lot. The relocation will allow them space to grow for
their clients and for their employees, both having positive impacts on our city.
Without question, a residential neighborhood isn't the best location for a card room. Not only would the
relocation relieve parking in the surrounding neighborhoods, but also highlight the Bay front as an exciting
place to visit in our city. The Bay front throughout South County is prime property to show off to our residents
and guests what the great City of Chula Vista possesses. Village Ciub's active participation and development of
the Bay front is a great step toward highlighting what Chula Vista offers.
I strongly support this move for Village Club Card Room and thank you for your time.
Best,

Chula Vista Mayor and City Council,
I am writing to you today in support of the Village Club move to Bay Blvd. I have been working at Village
Club for years. The move to their new location will bring many positive changes.
The new location is split between two buildings, one for staff offices and one for the card room. This will
provide much more needed space. Also, the new buildings have undergone many renovations and will
provide a very nice atmosphere for peopte to work and play card games.
The new locations will also provide much more parking. Currently I have to park on the street in
neighborhoods, and at the new facility i will be able to park in lit parking lots.
Please support the move of the Village Club so we can provide newer, better and bigger facilities to our
customecs.

Dear Honorable Mayor Salas and Chula Vista City Council-
As a local Chula Vistan, I want to voice my support of the Village Club Card Room
relocating to the Bayfront. The EI Torito was a great venue because of the location and
how easy it was to get to. Now there will be another great venue that will not only drive
economic growth but also provide a great place to eat and enjoy local ethnic cuisine and
culture.
Since EI Torito has been gone, that location has fell into disrepair. I am excited about the
project to build out the location and look forv✓ard to its completion.

Dear Chula Vista City Council and Mayor,
Please support the Village Club cardroom moving to the Bayfront. I have been working
at the cardroom for years and know moving the cardroom to the Bayfront will be a
positive move for Village Club, the City of Chula Vista and its residents.
The move to the new facility will enable us to provide more safety, more space and a
better facility. The upgrades to the buildings on Bay Boulevard will be aesthetically
pleasing and a good addition to our Bayfront. Currently, the two buildings are vacant
and an eye sore. Graffdi keeps appearing on them because they are vacant, but if they
are occupied by Village Club it will keep the buildings safe from vandalism. In addition,
new and upgraded security systems inside and outside the buildings will be installed
providing better safety for patrons, staff and the community. There will also be much
more parking, allowing patrons and staff to park in dedicated parking lots instead of on
the streets of neighborhoods.
Please support the Village Club moving out of a neighborhood and into a zone
designated for businesses.
Sincerely,

City Mayor and Councilmembers,
I am writing in support of the Village Club Card Room to move to the Bay Boulevard location. I am a
resident on Vance Street and believe moving the Cardroom out of the neighborhood will benefit all.
Village Club Cardroom has been good neighbors during the time I have lived in the neighborhood, but
they have become too bury to stay in a neighborhood. Their parking lot is too small, causing their
customers to park on the street outside my house. It is often difficult for me to find parking outside my
house and many times I have to park a block away.
The people who own the Village Club are nice people, and have been trying to be good neighbors but
they are just too big to stay in a neighborhood.
Please support the move of the Village Club so I can have my quiet neighborhood to raise my children,
free from worrying about the constant treffic caused by the Village Club.
Thank you!

Estimada alcaldesa Mary Salas y miembros del cabildo de Chula Vista,
Vivo junto al Village Club. Harvey Souza, propietario del lugar, es un amigo
mio. EI tiene un negocio excelente pero hace que el estacionarse en mi
calle sea extremadamente complicado.
Por todo ello, apoyo que Village Club se traslade al frente de la Bahia de
Chula Vista para despejar mi calle y tener lugar para estacionar mi
automovil.

Mayor Salas & City Council
City of Chula Vista

Deaz Mayor Salas and City Councilmembers,
I support the relocation ofthe Village Club Card Room to the Chula Vista Bayfront.
Currently, the card room is in my neighborhood on Vance Street, and moving it to a non-
residential area simply mal:es more sense. The Village Club has been good neighbors throughout
the years but its time to move it to a more appropriate area.
The new location on the Bayfront will take the card room out of a neighborhood, allow
for more parking and provide an upgraded faci(ity.
Being a neighbor of the Village Club, I know that they will be good tenants for the
Bayfront. They keep the neighborhood dean and provide 24 hour security. Their workers are
constantly cleaning the streets outside my house, but they have simply become too big and busy
to remain in a neighborhood. Their pazking lot is not large enough to accommodate their patrons
and they need to move to a facility that has ample parking.
Please support th location of the Village Club Card room to the Bayfront in Chula
Vista.
