RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council adopt a resolution accepting the
subject dedication.

DISCUSSION:
Recently, Hart and Sons, a partnership, submitted an application for a
building permit to construct a 15 unit apartment complex at 916 Fourth Avenue.
Fourth Avenue is designated as a collector street in the City's General Plan.
This standard calls for a right-of-way width of 84 feet. The current
half-width along the frontage of the subject property is 40 feet. To
accommodate this design, we have required the owners of the proposed site to
dedicate a 2 foot wide strip of right-of-way along their frontage on Fourth

Section 12.24.010 of the City Code provides that the owners of The property
being developed are required to dedicate necessary right-of-way.
granting this street easement has been executed by the owners and submitted to
the Engineering Department. It has been found to be satisfactory and is now
ready for Council acceptance.
