(CTS) for HandYtrans operation 1983-85 b) Resolution Approving Agreement Between the City of Chula Vista and the Association for Retarded Citizens of San Diego (ARC)for transportation services SUBMITTED BY: Director of Public Works/City Engineer P4"/ REVIEWED BY: City Manager (4/5ths Vote: Yes No X ) On January 14, 1986, Council accepted a report with a staff recommendation to extend the agreement with CTS to operate HandYtrans for FY 1986-87 and FY 1987-88 (July 1 , 1986 through June 30, 1988) . This Fifth Amendment to the agreement between the City and CTS for HandYtrans operation extends the original agreement through FY 1987-88. In addition, the agreement between the City and the ARC' s Starlight Center continues the coordinated service to Regional Center clients attending Starlight Center and authorizes CTS to use one Starlight Center vehicle for this service. RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve: 1 . Fifth Amendment to agreement between the City of Chula Vista and CTS for HandYtrans operation FY 1983-85; and 2. Agreement between the City of Chula Vista and the Association for Retarded Citizens of San Diego for transportation services. BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. FISCAL IMPACT: 1 . The FY 1986-87 contract cost for HandYtrans service in the amount of $215,317.18 is a 6% increase over the FY 1985-86 cost; the FY 1987-88 contract cost of $228,286.50 is a 6% increase over the FY 1986-87 cost. 2. The cost of the coordinated transportation program among the City, ARC, and Regional Center is reimbursed totally to the City by Regional Center.
