Pedestrian access easements are also required along Lake Shore Drive at both entrances to said subdivision. The necessity for these easements was not apparent until site development was underway. RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council accept the easements listed in the item title above from Century American Corporation. BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. DISCUSSION: The final map for EastLake I Unit 11 was approved by the City Council on February 11 , 1986, by Resolution 12372, for the purpose of creating five legal parcels for future condominium development. The exact layout of the development was unknown at the time the map was approved. As the site design of the project developed, the required location of the sewer became apparent. In order for maintenance and operation of the sewer to be accomplished by City forces, we require that an easement be granted to the City. Pedestrian access easements are also required for construction of wheelchair ramps at the two entrances to the subject subdivision from Lake Shore Drive. All necessary documents have been executed, notarized and submitted to the City. A plat is available for Council viewing. FISCAL IMPACT: None.
