Accepting an easement for street purposes
within Parcel Map 86-2, from Jimmie H. and Judi S. Shinohara,
dedicating said easement to public use and naming said street
"Shinohara Lane"

On September 4, 1985, the Engineering and Planning Departments conditionally
approved Tentative Parcel Map 86-2 (at the northwest corner of Otay Valley
Road and Brandywine Avenue). Said Parcel Map involves the division of one lot
into two Parcels.
One of the conditions placed upon Tentative Parcel Map 86-2 required the owner
to dedicate a 50-foot strip of land to the City for public street purposes.
This easement will provide access to adjacent property to the west, which is
currently without legal access from Brandywine Avenue. The street will be
named after Mr. Mansaka Shinohara, who is deceased.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council adopt resolutions "a" and "b" listed
above.
BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable.
DISCUSSION:
The document granting the easement has been properly executed and notarized.
It is submitted herewith for acceptance by the City Council .
A plat is available for Council viewing.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
