for roller and trailer

Bids were received and opened at 3:00 p.m. on April 24, 1987, in the Office of
the Purchasing Agent for the purchase of one 3-5 ton tandem roller with
transport trailer.
RECOMMENDATION: That Council adopt resolution awarding contract to
Clairemont Equipment Company.
BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable.
DISCUSSION:
Bids were advertised and mailed to prospective vendors with the following bids

The low bid of Clairemont Equipment Company on the Bomag Model 120 AD diesel
operated 3-5 ton roller meets specifications and is acceptable to the Director
of Public Works/City Engineer.
The roller to be purchased will replace a 1975 Essick towable roller that will
be traded in.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funds are provided for in the Equipment Replacement Fund.
