BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. DISCUSSION: The Thrifty Oil Company recently informed this department that two 6-foot public utility easements run through the property at 666 "H" Street. These easements are shown on Map 2917. The property line separating 666 and 660 "H" Street ran through the middle of these two 6-foot easements (see Exhibit A) . Sometime after the subdivision map containing these lots was recorded, the boundary separating these lots was moved easterly approximately 31 feet, thereby incorporating both 6-foot easements within the property at 666 "H" Street (see Exhibit B) . The easements are shown on the original subdivision map, but were not dedicated or accepted on the title sheet, as is usually the case. Upon suggestion of the City Attorney's office, a quitclaim of the easements by the City is appropriate in lieu of vacation. All of the utility companies were contacted regarding the City's intent and have no objections. The document granting this quitclaim has been executed and submitted to the Engineering Department. It has been reviewed and is now submitted for Council acceptance. FISCAL IMPACT: None. CT) e-64-el-e( DA:fp/PF-029 WPC 2417E by the City Council of Chula Vista, California Dated _ %
