HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1955-1763 4-` " , , r r. 4 4 4 a ;RESOLUTION NO. 1763 RES OLUT IONS OF THE C ITY!d OUNC IL OF THE CITY OF CHULAVISTA"REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ' TO REQUEST THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO RELOCATE DWELLINGS I% T$E FEDERAL HOUSING PROJECT KNOWN AS HILLTOP" CIRCLE 'T(t A DISTANCE OF NOT LESS THAN TWO MILES FROM THE CITY LIMITS' OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ' • WHEREAS, the proper Agency of the Federal Government has expressed its intention to sell a number of dwelling units in the Federal' Housing Project known as Hilltop Circle for removal from the present sites; and _ WHEREAS, the Building Director of the City of, Chula Vista ,has caused the said 'dwelling units .to be inspected; and WHEREAS said inspection disclosed that said dwelling units fail to conform to the requirements of the Building Code in the"`folibwing 'p"articular°s: " 1. Present oeiling heights are lower than allowed by law; the roof beams are overstressed requir-» ing complete new roof structure. 2. All walls, exterior and interior, are substandard and must be made to conform with the Code with ' respects to heights stud size and stud spacing. ' 3. -A proper separation must be made between the kitchen and bath, 4. The electric wiring system fails to c©mply with ,the Code in any respect, requiring complete+ new • wiring system. 5. 'Plumbing and gas piping systems must be completely replaced; and WHEREAS, it is the opinion. of the said Building Inspec.• tor that it would be less expensive to prospective purchasers C i ° 5. .. to build new, structures than to rehabilitate th`erSaid present . units to confOrm with the, Building Code- and-l' WHEREAS, it is illegal td relocate said dwelling units • within,' the City of Chula .Vista they are madd,to conform to the requi emerxts of the Building Code of''the 'City of Chula ' s. 'DATED: Septemb er,1O, 1955 = ` ' - t ` C_W CLerK r wti 1�4} • Re Sale and Removal from the Present Sites) of Dwelling Units in the Federal Housing ) Project knownas xilltoB Circleege�,�e.w..} ON MOTION of Supervisor Bird, seconded by Supervisor Howell, the following resolution is adopted by the Board of Supervisors of San Diego County, California: WHEREAS, the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the Public Housing Administration has expressed its intention to sell a number of dwelling units in the Federal Housing" - Project known as Hilltop Circle for removal from the present sites; and kBEREAS, the City of Chula Vista has by Resolution No, 1763 adopted by the City Council of said City on September 27, 1955, requested that upon the sale of the dwelling units located in the Hilltop Circle that. the same not be located within the City of Chula Vista or within two miles of the City Limits of said City of Chula Vista; NOW THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED that this Board request the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the Public Housing Administration that upon the sale of the dwelling units located in the Hilltop Circle, the same not be located within the City of Chula Vista or within two miles of the City Limits of said City .of..Chula.Vista., IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that certified copies of this resolution be sent to the Regional Office of the Public Housing Administration, and to the City of Chula Vista. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego, State of California, this 4th day of October, 1955, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Gibson, Bird, Robbins, Austin and Howell.
