RESOLUTION NO. 15739
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
DENYING DIF REFUND REQUEST BY UNOCAL FOR ITS STATION AT
1495 EAST H STREET
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, in October of last year, Unocal submitted plans to build a
service station at the northwest corner of East H Street and Otay Lakes Road;
and
WHEREAS, as the plans were processed through the Engineering Division,
the prescribed fees were added to the permit; and
WHEREAS, among the fees was a Transportation Development Impact Fee (DIF)
in the amount of $77,178 based on acreage of the property; and
WHEREAS, Unocal has requested a reduction in this fee based on a study
done in 1987; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Ordinance No. 2251, any variation from the
prescribed DIF must be considered by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the DIF reduction request be denied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula
Vista does hereby deny the DIF refund request by Unocal for its station at
1495 East H Street.
