RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
That pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of Un..

inhabited Territory Act . of 1939;
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation to, and incorpor-
ation and Inclusion in, the City of Chula Vista and in the Chula Vista
Elementary School District, of certain uninhabited territory in the County
of San Diego contiguous to the City of Chula Vita. The boundaries of
the territory so proposed to be amazed to the City of Chula Vista are
more parti •ularly scribed as follows

An uininhabited portion of the unincorporated area of the County of
San Diego, State of California, being portions of Quarter Sections
120 and 141 , and portions of existing streets of Rancho de la Nacion,
according to Map. No. 505 thereof, filed in the Office of the County
Recorder March 13, 1888, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 13, Quarter Section
$20, being a point on the boundary line of the City of Chula Vista,
also being the Southwdst corner of Country Club Hills No. I Subdivision,
Map No. 3102;
Thence, Southeasterly along the Westerly line of said Lot 13 a
distance of 90.75 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING:
. Thence along said Westerly line of Lot 13 and its Southerly pro-
longation to the centerline of Naples street;
Thence Northeasterly along the centerline of Naples Street 162. 18
feet to a point on the Northerly prolongation of the Easterly line
of Country Club Manor Unit No, I , Map 2614 as recorded in the Recorder 's
Office of said County;
Thence, Southeasterly along said Northerly prolongation to the
Southerly right of way line of Naples Street;
Thence, Southwesterly along the said Southerly tine of Naples
Street to a point on the Southerly prolongation of the v v'esterly line
of Lot 13, Quarter Section 141 ;
Thence, Northwesterly along said prolongation of the " esterly line
of Lot 13, and along the resterly line of Lots 13, 12, and S and the
Northerly prolongation thereof, to an intersection with the Northerly
right of way line of Moss Street as relocated;
Thence, Southeasterly along a curve to the right, having a radius
of 2740 feet, said curve being the Northerly right of way line of said
Moss Street, to a point of reverse curvature;
Thence, Southeasterly along a curve to the left having a radius
of 2740 feet, to a point on the Northerly line of the Southerly 200
feet of Lot 15, .quarter Section 120;
D. Thence, Northeasterly to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
That said Territory is hereby designated as "Casey Annexation"
NOTICE IS FURTH' t GIVEN that on the 2, nd 'day of day, 1956 :

""�� at the hour of 7:00 P.M. ' in the Council Chasn'lers
in the City Hall, Civic Center, Chula Vista, California, at a regular meeting
of the City Council of said City, any person owning real property within such
territory proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed
annexation, may appear before the City Council and show cause Idly such tear
tort' should not be so annexed.
At any time not later than the said hour set for hearing objections
to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory Pro-
posed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexe-
ttono Such protest shall state the name or names of the owner or owner of
the property affected thereby and the description and area of such property
in general terns. •

NOTICE I5 FORTIER GIVEN that proceeding are hereby initiated by the
City Council of the City of Chula Vista, and that the said City Council de-.
sires said annexation for the following reasons: •
1. • The uninhabited territory posed to be annexed is contiguous
to the City of Chula Vista, and in the path of the natural expansion of the
residential district of the said City.
2. The said City Council desires the developnent of this uninhabited
territory, so far as possible, to conform •6o the minim= standards established
by the subdivision, sanitation and building ordinances of the City of Chula
Vista.

3. The said City Council desires to prevent the development of,
sub-standard "fringe" areas along the boundaries of the said City.
BE IT ITT'i 'Iv' RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of said City be, and
he is busby directed to came a copy of this Resolution to be published
at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, to-wits On the �,,,r�,,�,,,/ 9 ✓

paper of general circulation published in said City, and also in a newm.
paper of general circulation published outside of the City but in the
County in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed; said
publication to be complete at least 20 days prior two the date set for the
hearing.
Said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed
annexation to be smiled to each person to whom land within the territory
proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equa1tued county assessment
roll available on the date these proceedings are initiated, at the address
shown on said assessment roll, or as known to said Cleric, and to any person
who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which
he has any interest, either legal or equitable, with said Clerk. In the
event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by the
County of San Diego said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such
proposed motion to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such bounty.
The notices above referred to shall. be given not lees than 20 days before
the said public hearing on the proposed annexation.
