HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1990-15712 RESOLUTION NO. 15712 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA REVISING EXECUTIVE SALARY SCHEDULE AND THE EXECUTIVE AND MID-MANAGEMENT FRINGE BENEFIT COMPENSATION SCHEDULE RELATING TO THE NEW FIRE CHIEF POSITION The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as fol 1 ows: WHEREAS, monies were authorized for the positions of Police Chief and Fire Chief in the FY 1990-91 budget; and WHEREAS, in order to appoint persons to these positions, it is necessary to have the salary and fringe benefit provisions in place for them. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the Executive Salary Schedule is amended as set forth in Attachment 1, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive and Mid-Management Frin e Benefit Compensation Schedule is hereby amended as set forth in Attachment ~, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Fringe Benefits l) Deferred Compensation Plans - a. Employees in the Executive Group may participate in the City's approved deferred compensation plans. b. In accordance with Resolution No. 12647 adopted on 08/05/86, employees in the Executive Group may have the option of applying their normal contribution to the Public Employees Retirement Systems as "deferred compensation: which is not subject to tax until withdrawal. c. There will be a cap of 25% of the adjusted flex plan balance which may be used for deferred compensation, provided the employee has contributed a like amount during the fiscal year. *U~ty pays/% ot employee contribution to Public Employees Retirement System. **City pays 2% of employee contribution to Public Employees Retirement System.
