RESOLUITION NO. 1914 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION

WHEREAS on the 14th day of September _ ,1956, there
was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista a written
petition for the annexation to, incorporation and inclusion in, the City of Chula
Vista of certain uninhabited territory particularly described in said petition,
and he:,einaf ter described, located in the County of San Diego, State of California,
pursuant to the Annexation'of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended; and
WHEREAS said petition was signed by the owners of
the lard in such territory by area and by value as shown on the last equalized
assessnent roll of the County of San Diego, in which such territory is situated; and
WHEREAS said Petition was also accompanied by the written consent
of tnl.owners of said uninhabited territory that the same may be taxed to pay its
proportionate share of any indebtedness or liability of the City of Chula Vista
contracted prior to or existing at the time of the annexation thereof
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
• Chula Vista, as follows*
THAT pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939, as amended;
NOTICE IS HEEHY GIVEN of the proposed annexation top incorporation and
inclusion in, the City of Chula. Vista Am/ i�/pltl' mpApItrm, of
certain uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego contiguous to the City of
Chula Vista.
The boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City
of Chula Vista ma/pphi.pfirAphtip.pirgfirjaNpAtAnIg are more particularly described
as follows:

That portion of Quarter SeCt•ton 96 of Rancho de la 1acion, County
wf San Diego, State of California, according to map thereof, No. 166, filed
in the Office of the County Recorder, May 11, 1869, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of ,said Quarter Section 965
1. Thence Northerly along the Westerly line thereof, being also the
easterly boundary line of the City of Chula Vista, for a distance of 131904
feet to the Northwest corner of the South Half of said Quarter Section;
2, Thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said South Half to
the Northeast corner thereof;
3. Thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said South Half
for a distance of 1318890 feet to the Southeast corner thereof6

4. Thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said Quarter Section
to the Easterly boundary line of the City of Chula Vista, a distance of 2638.30,
feet to the point of beginning. Containing 80 acres, more or less. •

that said territory is hereby designated as Street Annexation.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on the , __ day of ;r . l9 .
at the hour of 7:00 P.M.otclock , in the Council Chamber in the City Hall,
Civic Center, Chula Vista, California, at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City, any person caning real property within such territory proposed to be
annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the
City Council and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed.
At any time not later than the said hour set for hearing objections to the .
proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed
may file written protest against the proposed annexation.

Such protest shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of the 'Propefty
affected thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of said City be, and he is
hereby, directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice,
but not oftener than once a week, in the official newspaper of said City, to-wit:
The Chula Vista Star-News, a newspaper of general circulation published in said City,
and also in a newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City but in
the County in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed; said publication
to be complete at least 20 days prior to the date set for the hearing.
Said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation
to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed
is assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll available on the date
these proceedings are initiated, at the address shown on said assessment roll, or
as known to said Clerk, and to any person }rho has filed his name and address and
the designation of the lands in which he has any interest, either legal or equitable,
with said Clerk.
In the event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by the
County of San Diego, said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such
proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County.
The notices above referred to shall be given not less than 20 days before the said
public hearing on the proposed annexation.
