RESOLUTION No. 2047 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND CHULA VISTA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT° IN THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO9 STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO BE KNOWN AS INDUSTRIAL LANDS ANNEXATION WHEREAS on the gu i day of April , 19 58 D there was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Chul,: Vista a written petition for the annexation too incorporation and in ausion in° the City of Chula Vista of certain uninhabited territory particularly desscrib •d in said petition9 and hereinafter .described° located in the County of San Diego° State of California9 pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabitd Territory Act of 19399 as amended; and WHEREAS said petition was signed by the own,srs of the land in such territory by area and by value as shown on the last equalized asssesment roll of the County of San Diego° in which such territory is situated; and WHEREAS said Petition was also acco <panied by the written consent of the owners of said uninhabited territory that the same may be taxed to pay its proportionate share of any indebtedness or liability of the City of Chula Vista contracted prior to or -xisting at the time of the annexation thereof. NOUQ THEREFORE° BE IT RESOLVED9 by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista° as follows: THAT pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 19390 :,s amended; NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation too incorpora- tion and inclusion ino the City of Chula Vista and Chula Vista City School District of certain uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego contiguous to the City of Chula Vista. The boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Chul :• Vista and Chula Vista City School District are more particularly described as follows INDUSTRIAL LANDS ANNEXATION • 0► 0 ) /C e— C1) to the CITY OF CHULA VISTA e J f°/ All that unincorporated area situated in the County of San Diego, State of California, des- cribed as follows: • 1. Beginning at the intersection of the Easterly line of the existing )ndustrial Boulevard "County Road R. S. 27" with the Southerly boundary of the City of Chula Vista, being. also the Southerly right of way I,ine of "L" Street; 2. Thence Southerly along said Easterly line of Industrial Boulevard "County Road R. S. 27" being also the Westerly right of way line of the main branch of the San Diego and Arizona Railroad to an intersection with the Easterly prolongation of the Northerly line of Palomar Street, formerly Eighth Street as shown on Map of Harborside Unit No. 2, Map 2119; 3. Thence Westerly along said Northerly line to an intersection with the Easterly line of Lot 18, Block R, of Harborside Unit No. 2; 4. Thence Northerly along the Easterly lines of Lot 18, 199 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24, to the Northerly line of the Southerly 2 feet of Lot 24, Block R; 5, Thence South 71°43' West along said Northerly line to an intersection with the Easterly line of Walnut Avenue as shown on Map of Harborside Unit No. 2; 6. Thence South 18°24'30" East along said Easterly line to an intersection with the Northeasterly prolongation of the Southeasterly line of LOt 8, Block "Q" of said Harborside Unit No. 2; 7. Thence South 72°24'10" West along said Northeasterly prolongation and said South- easterly line to an intersection with the Northeasterly boundary of that certain parcel of land described in Parcel 4 in Deed to the State of California recorded July 7, 1950 in Book 3685, Page 373 of Official Records; 8. Thence North 45°17' West along said Northeasterly boundary to an intersection with the Northerly line of the Southerly 20.00 feet of Lot 18 of said Block "Q", said Southerly 20. 00 feet bei:':g measured along the Easterly line of said lot; 9. Thence North 86°03°40" East along said Northerly line to the East line of said Lot 18, being also the Westerly terminus of the Northerly line of the Southerly 20 feet of Lot 6 of said Block "Q", said Southerly 20 feet being measured along the Westerly line of Lot 6; 10. Thence North 72°52'40" East along said Northerly line of said Southerly 20. 00 feet of Lot 6 to the West line of Walnut Avenue as shown on said Map of Harborside Unit No, 2; 11. Thence North 18'24'30" West along the West line of said Walnut Avenue to the North-- east corner of Lot 2 of said Block "Q"; 12. Thence South 2°14'37" West along said Westerly line to an intersection with the center line of said Queen Ann Drive being also the Northwest corner of the above mentioned Parcel 4 of land conveyed to the State of California; 20, Thence along the Westerly boundary of said Parcel 4, the following courses and distances: South 2°13'30" West, 216. 78 feet to the beginning of a curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of 250.00 feet, a radial line of said curve bearing North 57°52'17" West from said point; along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 20'31 '17", a distance of 89. 54 feet; South 52°39' West tangent to said curve 248. 96 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northerly having a radius 484.00 feet; and along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 38•37°S0", a distance of 326. 33 feet to a point on the Westerly prolongation of the North line of Palomar Street as shown on said Map of Harborside Unit No. 2; 21. Thence Westerly along said Westerly prolongation to the Northerly prolongation of the East line of Lot 3 of Section 16, Township 18 South, Range 2 West, S.B. B. & M. ; 22. Thence Southerly along said Northerly prolongation to the Southerly line of said Harborside Unit No. 2, being also a point on the City boundary of San Diego as described in Ordinance 6454 of said City; , 23. Thence Westerly along said City boundary and along said Southerly line of Harborside Unit No. 2 to the Westerly line of the right of way of the San Diego and Arizona Railway Company's branch line to Coronado; 24. Thence North 0°47' East 400 feet along said Westerly line and along said City boundary to a point on the Easterly boundary of land conveyed to the Western Salt Company by deed recorded in Book 982, page 232, of deeds; 25. Thence along said Easterly boundary of the Western Salt Company's land, being also the Westerly City of San Diego boundary of that area annexed by said Ordinance No. 6454, the following courses and distances: North 84°28' West, 386. 10 feet; North 25°06' West, 284. 30 feet; North 72°58' West, 131.40 feet; North 33°06' West, 347.40 feet; North 05°04' West, 245. 70 feet; North 31°00' West 558. 50 feet; North 13°18' West, 129° 80 feet; North 14°27° East, 229.20 feet; North 5.25' East, 369. 20 feet; North 7'53' West, 469.70 feet; North 46°02' West, 256. 10 feet; and North 31.50' West to the above mentioned Southerly boundary of the City of Chula Vista; 26. That said territory is her-by designated as Industrial Lanus Annpxstinn NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on the 10th day of June 19 58 at the hour of 7:00 a9 clock p.m_ © in the Council Chamber in the City Hall© Civic Centers Chula Vistas Californian at a regular meet- ing of the City Council of said Citya any person owning real property within such territory proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation9 may appear before the City Council and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed, At any time not later than the said hour set for hearing objections to the proposed €annexations, any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation, -2.. Such protest still state the name or names of the owner or owners of th property affected thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby directed to cause a copy.of this resolution to be published ,: t least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the official newspaper of said City, to-wit: The Chula Vista Star-News, a newspaper of general circulation published in said City, and also in a newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City but in the County in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed; said publication to be complete at least 20 days prior to the date net for the hearing, Said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll available on the date these proceedings are initiated, at the address shown on said assessment roll, or as known to said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which he has any interest, either legal or equitable, with said Clerk , In the event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by the County of San Diego, s id City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County, The notices referred to shall be given not less than 20 days before the said public hearing on the proposed hearing ADOPTED, SIC ED AND APPROVED this 22nd day of Anr' l _i--e g ayor o` ,+o o 'nu` ; . s .a, California ATTEST: e t // ty 'er: o ' t+e Ci y,la:` '' ►uln Vista • ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the Cl?!
