Operating Engineer Foreman shall be paid 25% per hour more than the hourly rate of
the highest classification under his supervision.
All classifications employed in a tunnel will receive 20? per hour premium pay
additional to the regular rate of pay.
All Operators and oilers on cranes, with booms of eighty (80) feet or more, including
jib, and pile driving rigs with hammer leads of eighty (80) feet or more, shall
receive 15/ per hour premium pay additional to the regular rate of pay.
Operators on all hoisting equipment with three (3) drums or more, shall receive 10%
per hour premium pay additional to the regular rate of pay.
Combination Mixer and Compressor Operators on gunite work shall be classified as
Concrete Mobile Mixer Operator .

Operators on tractors with scrapers or dragtype shovels intandem, shall receive
premium pay of 15¢ per hour above the regular rate.
Necessity for the use of an employee as a Signalman shall be determined by contractor
When used, he shall be an Engineer-Oiler, as defined herein, who assists in giving
or relaying signals by mechanical means or hand signals, directly to the Operator
of hoisting equipment only.

SUBSISTENCE.PAYMEN TS

Carpenters, Cement Masons, Laborers and Truck Drivers : 45.00 per day subsis-
tense s alrl be paid each worlanan when employed on remote projects. A "remote pro-
ject" is defined as lying easterly of a line beginning at a point on the North
boundary line of San Diego County where the range line between Ranges lE and' 2E
intersect said boundary line, southerly along aforesaid range line 24 miles, more
or less, to Northwest corner of Township 138, then Easterly six miles of the North-
east corner of the same township, then Southerly along the range line between
Ranges 2E and 3E to the intersection of this line with the United fitates-Mexic•
boundary line. Subsistence need not be paid'when the regular residence of a workman
is located within a ten (10) mile radius of the center. of a job or project.
Operating Engineers : At the option of the employer, either suitable board and
room or ;6.00 per day shall be paid employees on remote projects. A "remote project"
is defined as lying easterly of the general north-south line described as follows :
Beginning at a point on the north boundary of San Diego County where the range line
between R2W and RSW intersects said boundary; thence southerly along this range to
the intersection of Ranges 10 and 11; thence east six miles to the intersection if
the range lines between R1W and R2t°d; thence southerly along the range line between
Rh! a ni R2;ri to a•point of intersection of range lines between Ranges 11 and 12;
thence east six miles to intersection of range line between RIE and Riw; thence
southerly six miles to the intersection of range line between Ranges 12 and 13;
thence east six miles to intersection of range line between R1E and R2E; thence six
miles aoutl-Brly to intersection of range line between Ranges 13 and 14; thence
easterly six miles to range line between R2E and R3E; thence southerly along this
range. line to the United States-Mexico boundary line. Same subsistence to be paid
