HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1958-2087 v RESOLUTION No. 2087 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND CHULA VISTA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT° IN THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO , STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO BE KNOWN AS • PYLANT NO. 1 ANNEXATION WHEREAS on the 20th day of June ,l958 0 there was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista a written petition for the annexation to© incorporation and inAussion ino the City of Chula Vista of certain uninhabited territory particularly de;cribed in said petition° and hereinafter described° located in th< County of San Diego° State of California° pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of l9390 as amended; and WHEREAS said petition was signed by the owners of all the land in such territory by area and by vale, .a shown on th- last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Diegoe in which such territory is situated; and WHEREAS said Petition was also accompanied by th- written consent of the owners of said uninhabited territory that the same .ay be taxed to pay its proportionate share of any indebtedness or liability of the City of Chula Vista contracted prior to or existing at th time of the annexation thereof. NOW© THEREFORE° BE IT RESOLVED° by tht:: City Council of the City of Chula Vista° as follows: THAT pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 19390 us amended; NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation too incorpora- tion and inclusion in° the City of Chula Vista and Chula Vista City School District of certain uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego . contiguous to the City of Chula Vista. The boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Chula Vista and Chula Vista City School District axe r: more particularly described as follow- : r All that unincorporated area in the County of San Diego, State of California, lying within the following described boundary line: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot II , Quarter Section ' 141 , Chula Vista according to Map No, 505, filed in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Diego, March 13, 1888, thence Easterly for 210 feet along the Northerly line of said Lot 11 to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; I . Thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said Lot Il to the Northeast corner of Lot 11 , Quarter Section 141 ; 2, Thence Southerly along the Easterly line of above mentioned Lot 11 , 266.00 feet; 3. Thence 'esterly along a line parallel with the Northerly line of Lot 11 , 247.00 feet, to the West line of County Road Survey No. 724; 4 . Thence Northerly along a line parallel with the Easterly tine of Lot 11 , and also being the resterly line of said Road Survey 724, a distance of 200.00 feet; S, Thence Westerly 163,00 feet along a line parallel with, and 66.00 feet Southerly from the Northerly line of Lot II , to a point 210.00 feet Easterly from the Westerly line of said Lot 11 ; 6. Northerly along a line parallel with and distant 210.00 feet from the Westerly line of Lot 11 , 66,00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. Said Annexation contains 1 ,76 acres , That said territory is hereby designat,d as PYL/1NT N0. I ANNEXATION NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on the 23rd day of September 1958 at the hour of 7:00 o°clock P.M , in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Civic Center, Chula Vista, California, at a regular meet- ing of the City Council of said City© any person owning real property within such territory proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed. At any time not later than the said hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation, —2— • Such protest shil state the name or names of the owner or owners of the • property affected thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms. BE IT *FURTHER RRSOLVRD9 that the City Clerk of said City beg and he to hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice9 but not oftener than once a week9 in the official newspaper of said City. to-wit: The Chula Vista Star-News9 a newspaper of general circulation published in said City© and also in a newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City but in the County in which is located the territory propesed to be annexed; said publication to be complete at least 20 days prior to the date set for the hearing. Said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll available on the date these proceedings are initiatedv at the address shown on said assessment rolls or as known to said Clerks and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which he has any interest, either legal or equitablev with said Clerk. In the event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by the County of San Diego° said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County. The notices referred to shall be. given not less than 20 days before the said public hearing on the proposed hearing.
