HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1958-2078 ' ' 4 RESOLUTION Noo 2078 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND CHULA VISTA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT° IN THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO„ STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO BE KNOWN AS JUDSON DAM SCHOOL SITE ANNEXATION WHEREAS on the 2nd day of May , 1958 o there was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista a written petition for the annexation t00 incorporation and inclusion ink, the City of Chula Vista of certain uninhabited t rritory p .rticularly describz+d in said petition° and bereinaftr described, located in the County of San Diego° State of Caliifornia0 pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of l9390 as amended; and WHEREAS said petition was signed by the owners Of all the land in such territory by area and by value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Diego° in which such territory is situated; and WHEREAS -aid Petition was also accompanied by the written cons.,sat of the owners of said uninhabited territory that the same may be taxed to pay its proportionate share of any indebtednes ()Mobility of the City of Chula Vista contracted prior to or existing at the time of the annexation thereof. NOWW° THEREF0 4'.:o BE IT RESOLVED0 by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista.;0 as follows: THAT pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of l9390 as amended; NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation too incorpora- tion and inclusion iin0 the City of Chula Vista and Chula Vista City School District of certain uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego contiguous to the City of Chula Vista. The boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Chula Vista and Chula Vista City School District are more particularly described as follows: l South Nalf of Southeast Quarter of -Northwest Quarter end; North Half of Northeast Quarter of. Southwest Quarter of Quarter Section 93; in Rancho de to Nacion, in the' County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof No. 166, by Morrill in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County. Note: Said land is also shown on Record of Survey No, 572. That said territory is hereby designated as Judson Dam School Site Annexation NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on the 90 day of September 19 58 at the hour of 7:00 o°clock P.M. o in the Council Chamber in the City Halle Civic Center° Chula Vista° California° at a regular meet- ing of the City Council of said City° any person owning real property within such territory proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation° may appear before the City Council and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed. At any time not later than the said hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation, -2- 1 • J Such protest shil state the name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms. BE IT 'FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby .diracted to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the official newspaper of said City, toawit: The Chula Vista- Star-News„ a newspaper of general circulation published in said City, and also in a newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City but in the County is which is located the territory proposed to be annexed; said publication to be complete at least 20 days prior to the date set for the hearing. Said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll available on the date these proceedings are initiated, at the address shown on said assessment roll, or as known to said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands . in which he has any interest, either legal or equitable, with said Clerk. In the event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by the County of San Diego, said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County. The notices referred to shall be given not less than 20 days before the said public hearing on the proposed hearing.
