RESOLUTION No. 2065 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND CHULA VISTA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT° IN THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGOo STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO BE KNOWN AS KILE MORGAN NO. 2 ANNEXATION WHEREAS On the 2nd day of June , 19 58 ° there was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista a written petition for the annexation top incorporation and inclusion in° the City of Chula Vista of certain uninhabited territory particularly described in said petitiono and hereinafter described° located in the County of San Diegoo State of California° pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of l9390 as amended; and WHEREAS said petition was signed by the owners of all the land in such territory by area and by value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Diego© in which such territory is situated; and WHEREAS said Petition was also accompanied by the written consent of the owners of said uninhabited territory that the same may be taxed to pay its proportionate share of any indebtedness or liability of the City of Chula Vista contracted prior to or existing at the time of the annexation thereof. NOW° THEREFORE° BE IT RESOLVED° by the City Council of the City of Chula Vistas as follows THAT pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 19390 as amended; • NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation too incorpora- tion and inclusion in the City of Chula Vista and Chula Vista City School District of certain uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego contiguous to th. City of Chula Vista. The boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Chula Vista and Chula Yist,N City School District are more particularly described as follows: P All of the South of Vir of Yull and the North Ralf of th e of SWI in quarter Section 95 of the Rancho de la I acicn, in the County of San Diego, State of California,* according to Yap thereof lo. 166, filed May 11, 1869 in the 'office of the County Recorder of said San Diego' County , described as follows : 1. ?te ;innin6 at the Test quarter Corner Of said Quarter Section 95. 2. Thence north 19°1sS;= along the 'nest line of said quarter Section, 310 feet to the V corner of said Southerly halfof of rff--. 3'. Thence North 71°East along the North line of said Southerly half, . 660' feet ,4 the northeast corner thereof. 4. Thence` South 19° East along the East line of said Southerly half and the East line of said Northerly half of lwg of 5W-i, 66G feet to the Southeast corner of said northerly half. 5. `Thence "oiith 71° West along the Southerly line of said lOrtherly half, 660 feet to the Southwest corner thereof. 6, Thence• North '19° West along the Westerly line of said Northerly half, 330 feet to the point of beginning. That s id territory is hereby designated an Kile Morgan No. 2 Annexation NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on the 12th day of August 1958 at the hour of 7:00 o°clock P .M. c in the Council Chamber in the City Mall, Civic Center, Chula Vista, California, at a regular meet- ing of the City Council of said City, any person owning real property within such territory proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed. At any time not later than the said hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation, ti r n • Such protest shil state the name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of said City bep and he is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice9 but not oftener than once a toecap in the official newspaper of said City to-wit: The Chula Vista Star.Newsa a newspaper of general circulation published in said Cityp and also in a newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City but in the County in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed; said publication to be complete at least 20 days prior to the date set for the hearing; Said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll available on the date these proceedings are initiated, at the address shown on said assessment roll, or as known to said Clerk, and to any _ person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which he has any interest, either legal or equitable, with said Clerk. In the event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by the County of San Diego9 said City Clerk shall also cause - written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County. The notices referred to shall be given not less than 20 days before the said public hearing on the proposed hearing.
