RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COiJI�'CIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA \rISTA APPROVI?�'G THE AMENDED
COA�PENSATIOI�' SUMMARI' FOR ALL IJNREPRESEI�'TED
E�4PLOYEES AI�TD ELECTED OFFICIALS TO REFLECT THE
CHANGE TO THE VACATION SELLBACK OPTION FOR
E�ECUTIVE AI�'D SENIOR MANAGERS FROI�9 TRTO
WEEKS TO THREE R'EEKS
V�'HEREAS, the City has set forth the compensation for all unrepresented employees and
elected officials as set forth in a Compensation Summan� ��ia prior resolution; and
V�'HEREAS. due to the sienificant reductions tal:en at the Executive level. it has become
more difficult to take time off and thus man�� aze reachine their ma.timum accrual: and
A'HEREAS; chaneine the vacation sellback option would alloti� Ezecutive and Senior
ManaQers the opportuniri� to sell back an additional ���eek and avoid losine vacation accruals; and
WHEREAS. staff has analvzed the vacation balances of Senior and Executive Manaaers
and has determined that alloti�in� a greater sellback during the course of their emplo}�ment could
potentially prevent the very laree pa}�outs at retirement.
NOVd. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED bv the Cirv Council of the Cin� of Chula
Vista that it approve the amendments to the Compensation Summarv for All Unrepresented
Employees and Elected Officials to reflect the change to the ��acation sellback option for
Executive and Senior A4anaeers from nvo �ti�eeks to three weeks.
