HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1959-2360 RESOLUTION No 2360 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND CHULA VISTA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, IN THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO BE KNOWN AS PYLANT ANNEXATION NO. 4 WHEREAS on the 15th day of December 1959 © there was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista a written petition for the annexation to, incorporation and inclusion in, the City of Chula Vista of certain uninhabited territory particularly described in said petition, and hereinafter described, located in the County of San Diego, State of California, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended; and WHEREAS said petition was signed by the owners of all the land in such territory by area and by value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Diego, in which such territory is situated; and WHEREAS said petition was also accompanied by the written consent of the owners of more than two-thirds of the value of said un- inhabited territory that the same may be taxed to pay its proportionate share of any indebtedness or liability of the City of Chula Vista con- tracted prior to or existing at the time of the annexation thereof. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, as follows: THAT pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended; NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation to, incorporation and inclusion in, the City of Chula Vista and Chula Vista City School District of certain uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego contiguous to the City of Chula Vista. The boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Chula Vista and Chula Vista City School District are more particularly described as follows: All that unincorporated area in the County of San Diego, State of California. in Quarter Section 141 according to Chula Vista Map No. 505, filed in the office of the County Recorder March 13, 1888, lying within the following described boundary line: • Beginning at the intersection of the East right-of-way line of Third Avenue and the South right-of-way line of Naples Street lf,ormere- ly Sixth Street) , said intersection being also the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; 1 . Thence Northerly along said East right-of-way line of Third Avenue a distance of 700.00 feet; • 2. Thence Easterly along a line parallel with the South rtcht-of- way tine of Naples Street a distance of 210.00 feet; 3. Thence Southerly along a line parallel with the East right-of- way line of Third Avenue a distance of 66.00 -feet; 4.. Thence resterly along a line parallel with the South right--of- way line of Naples Street a distance of 23.00 feet; 5. Thence ' Southerly along a line parellel • with the East right-of-- . way line of Third Avenue a distance of 350.00 feet ; 6. Thence Easterly along a line parallel with the South right-of-- way line of Naples Street a distance of 5.00 feet; 7. Thence Southerly along a tine parallel with the East right•.of- way tine of Third Avenue a distance of 50.00 feet; 8. Thence rest'eriy along a line parallel with the South right-of way line of .Naples Street a distance of 5.00 feet; 9. Thence Southerly along a line parallel with the East right-of- way line of Third Avenue a distance of 234.00 feet to the South right-of-way line of Naples Street; 10. Thence `Masterly along the South right-of-lay line of Naples . Street a distance of 187.00 feet to the TRUE PCLN.T OF BEGINNING. Said Annexation contains approximately 3.05 acres . !rat said territory is hereby designated as Pylant Annexation No. 4 NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on the 26th day of January l960 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.M.in the Council Chamber at the City tall, Civic Center, Chula Vista, California, at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City, any person owning real property within such territory proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the pro- maed annexation, may appear before the City Council and show cause why Inch territory should not be so annexed. At any time not later than the said hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory )roposed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed innezation. • Such protest shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the official newspaper of said City, to-wit: The Chula Vista Star-News, a ,.newspaper of general circulation published in said City, - .. - :: ,. . _ .. said publica- tion to be complete at least 20 days prior to the date set for the hearing° In the event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by the County of San Diego, said City Clerk shall also cause Written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County.
