RESOLUTION NO. 2943
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR INCREASE
° 'IN PLANNED TOTAL EXPENDITURE FOR
CAPITAL" IMPROVEMENT' PROJECTS ' Project No'.
( for HHFA )
WHEREAS, under the terms of Public Law 87-658, approved September 14,
1962, the United States of America has authorized the making of grants to
aid in financing construction of specific public works projects, provided
the' proposed ,or planned total expenditure of the public body for its capital
improvement .projects is increased by an amount approximately equal to the
non-Federal funds required to complete, such public works projects : '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED' BY ' City Council
1 - Thet as of the date of 'filing of an applicat.ion ' by City of Chula Vista
hereafter called Applicant ) with the Housing and Home Finance Agency, United
States Government, for a grant to aid in financing the construction of
Widening of 4th. Avenue, the Applicant had a capital improvements plan or
capital improvement budget for the fiscal year or years during which construc-
tion of th,e proposed project is expected to occur ; and that the tot. l expen -
diture for capital improvements in said plan or budget was $294,685.80
for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1963.
2 - That, in the event that said Federal grant is approved by the United
States of America, said capital improvements plan or capital budget will be-
( .e-h.eeelay►) increased by $43, 500.00 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1963
for a total increase of $43,500.00 in the, proposed or 'planned total expendi-
ture for capital improvements projects (exclusive of Federal funds ) . '
3 - That said increase in the proposed or 'planned total ' expenditure for
capital improvement projects is approximately equal to the non-Federal funds
required to complete t'he public works project for which the apps lcation is
to be submitted. , ,
This resolution is adopted pursuant to .,th'e auth,orit,y ,provided by, the City
Charter, Sections No. all and No. 1113. "
