T�AND APPRAISA� CONTRACT
THIS CONTRACT,_ entered into this day of , 1962,
between the CITY OF CHTJLA VISTA,� Gounty of �an Diego, State of 'C..as�fornia,
hereinafter called the City# and JOHN C, WEBB, hereinafter called the
Contractor, witness that the parties hereto do mutually agree as follows,
ARTIC�E 1 - EMPf�OYMENT �F CONTRACTORr The City hereby employs
the Contractor to perform the necessary professional servicesx including but
not limited to, those hereinafter set forth in connection with the appraisal of
land and improvements for the Downtown Parking Lot District located on
Church Avenue and Landis Avenue between "E" Street and Madrona Street� in
the City of Chula jTista.
ARTIG�E 2 - THE CONTRACTOR'S SER�TICES: The Contractor hereby
accepts said employxnent and agrees to prepare a supplemental appraisal report
covering eleven (11) parcels of land located on Landis Avenue and Chureh Avenue,
as directed, together with the improvements thereon required for the improvement
of said district. Said appraisal report shall supplement that certai.n original
appraisal repor'c dated November 14, 1961 covering the eleven (11) parcels of
land within said district. It is understood that City, County, neighborhood and
market data contained in the original report shall be included in said supplemental
report by reference only, insofar as said data is applicable to said supplemental
report. Said supplemental report shall be prepared in the same forzn and context
as the original report and shall contain estimates of value of the eleven additional
parcels to be appraised as of June 15, 1962, together with such additional data as
may be necessary to substantiate said estimates�of value.
ARTIC�E 3 - TO BE PROVIDED BY CITY: The City shall furnish the Contractor
with sufficient maps and lega7. descriptions showing the boundaries of each parcel
of land to be appraised, together with a plot plan showing the perimeter of each
building located on each parcel in relation to its boundaries. The City sha11 also
furnish the Contractor with a preliminary title report or a title company lot book
report covering the legal descriptions of each parcel, the names of the owners,

ARTICIJE 4 - TIME OF COMP�,ETTON: The Gontractor shall complete the work
contemplated and deliver his report on or before August 1, 1962...
ARTICLE 5 - EXTRA WORK: In the event that the investigation of market
conditions between the dates of the original and supplemental reports reflects
values that differ substantially from those shown in the original report, 1 62 on
Co n t r a c t o r a g r e e s t'o p r e p a re revised estimates of value as of June 15,
any or all of the parcels described in the said original report .�c�r`;.; an a d d i tiona l
maximum fee of $100 for each parcel so reappraised, if di.rected to do so by the
Gity Engineer or Chief Administrative Officer prior to August 31, 1962.

ARTIC�E 6 - FURTHER ACTION AS A VA�UATION WITNESS: The Contractor
agrees,� if requested by the ity� to act as a valuation witness in any eminent
domain proceedings which may result from the proposed acquisition for the susn
of one hundred (100) dollars per day for attendance in court or pre�trial
conferences and further to cooperate with the City Attorney in preparation for
any such testimony or legal proceedings.
ARTIC�E 7 - PAYMENTS: The City agrees to pay and the Contractor agrees to
- accept, as full payment for the services rendered under ARTIC�E 2, the amount
of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00), Payment shall be made by the City within
thirty (30) days following delivery of the complete report by the Contractor.
Y1V WITIVESS WHEREOF, the City of Chula Vist has, by Resolution,
authorized this Agreement to be executed for and on behalf of the City by its
1Vlayor and City Clerk= and the Contractor has caused the same to be executed
by his signature.
