HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1994-17383 RESOLUTION NO. 17383 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF POLICE PATROL VEHICLES VIA A COOPERATIVE BID WHEREAS, the FY93-94 budget provides for the purchase of thirteen (13) Police patrol vehicles; and, WHEREAS, Chula Vista Municipal Code Section 2.56.270 authorizes the City to participate in a cooperative bid with other governmental agencies; and, WHEREAS, the City is able to obtain the vehicles via the City of San Diego Bid No. C4079/94, Resolution No. 283262 adopted on January 18, 1994; and, WHEREAS, the successful bidder on the City of San Diego bid was Bob Baker Ford with the purchase cost per vehicle being $14,891.05, including tax. WHEREAS, the Police Department has reviewed the specifications and finds them acceptable for their operation; and, WHEREAS, sufficient funds are provided for in the Emergency Equipment Replacement Fund for the purchase of the thirteen vehicles. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby authorize the purchase of thirteen Police Patrol vehicles via the City of San Diego Bid No. C4079/79 for a total cost of $193,583.65.
