RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA GRANTING THE 1993 RICHARD WELSH MEMORIAL AWARD TO
THE ROHR OFFICE COMPLEX LOCATED AT 800 LAGOON DRIVE
WHEREAS, on September 20, 1988, the City Council created the Richard Welsh
Memorial Award to recognize those projects that have, among other things,
superior building functions and design as well as unique characteristics that
best exemplify the builder's commitment to beautify our community; and,
WHEREAS, the Beautification Awards Committee held its annual meeting on
March 11, 1993, and voted and nominated the Rohr Office Complex to receive the
1993 Richard Welsh Memorial Award based upon the excellent adaptation of the
project to the environmentally sensitive site and the excellent functional
qualities of the site and building; and,
WHEREAS, the Design Review Committee held a special meeting on April 19,
1993 and voted to recommend that the City Council grant the 1993 Richard Welsh
Memorial Award to the Rohr Office Complex located at 800 Lagoon Drive·
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby grants the 1993
Richard Welsh Memorial Award to the Rohr Office Complex located at 800 Lagoon
Drive and authorizes the Mayor to present the award to the recipient at the
annual Beautification Awards Banquet to be held at the San Diego County Club on
May 20, 1993.
