Vl'HEREAS. the Cin= Council of the Cit�� of Chula Vista received and considered the Cirv
Manasers proposed operatine and capital impro��ement budget for the City of Chula Vista for
the Fiscal Year endina June 30. 201�: and
V�'HEREAS, the total number of recommended permanent positions is 960.7� for Fiscal
Yeaz 2014/201�. a net an increase of 10.7,5 positions w�hen compazed to the Fiscal Yeaz
2013/2014 Council adopted budget; and
l�'HEREAS. the recommended staffina cha�ees include a number of new classification
titles that aze not currentiv reflected in the Compensation Schedule and Classification Plan: and
WHEREAS, the recommended chanees to the Compensation Schedule and Classification
Plan include the addition of the follo���ing neH� titles of Director of Information Technolo2�•
Services, A9anagement Analyst, Animal Care Supen�isor. Fire Prevention Aide, Director of
Libran�, Finance A4anager, and Planning Manager as well as salary changes for the Assistant
Director of Development Sen�ices and Marketine and Communications Manager. The E Step
salaries for these positions are as follows:

NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula
Vista, that it approve the amendments to the Compensation Schedule and Classification Plan to
reflect the changes described abo��e.
