CHiJLA VISTA ACCEPTING ��2.296 FROA4 THE BUREAU
OF JUSTICE ASSISTAI�'CE FOR THE 201� EDWARD BYRNE
MEMORIAL NSTICE ASSISTAI�'CE GRANT
W'HEREAS, the Police Department recei��ed notice from the Bureau of Justice Assisiance
of the 2014 Edward Bvme Memorial Justice Assistance Grant a�vard in the amount of$�2.296:
and
R'HEREAS, the grant funding from the Bureau of Justice Assistance for the 2014
Edwazd Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant will be used for the personnel costs of one
Police Communitv Relations Specialist; and
��'HEREAS, the Police Communit}� Relations Specialist pro��ides a ��ital linl: beh�een the
communirv and the Police Department; and
WHEREAS; a public hearine H�as conducted to seek input regarding the grant
appropriations.
\'OVJ, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED ��ith the abo��e findings incorporated herein,
the Cin� Council of the Cin� of Chula Vista does hereby accept ��2,296 from the Bureau of
Justice Assistance for the 2014 Edwazd Bvme Memorial Justice Assistance Grant.
