RESOLUTIOI�' OF THE CITY COUI�CIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA n4AKII�G VARIOUS AMENDD�fEI�TTS TO THE
FISC.AL YEAR 20li/2014 BUDGET TO ADJUST FOR
VARIAI�TCES .AI�TD APPROPRIATII�'G FUI�'DS THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the Cih� Charter states that an}• meeting afrer the adoption of the budget; the
Cit�� Council may amend or supplement the budeet by a motion adopted b}� the affirmati��e votes
of at least four members: and
WHEREAS, staff has completed the budget re��ie�� for the quarter ending March 31,
2014 and is recommending a number of budget amendments; and
�'�'HEREAS, staff is recommending approximatel�� �0.� million in ne��� appropriations to
various departments in the General Fund that w�ill be offset by $3.� million in revenues resultine
in a positi��e net fiscal impact of�3.0 million to the General Fund; and
\'�'HEREAS, an appropriation of �12,524 in the State Grants Fund is needed to transfer
the revenues and espenditures associated with the Mobile Recreation program; and
l�'HEREAS, the transfer of$4,000;000 from the 2002 COP Police Facilit}� Project Fund
to the 2014 Refundine COP Fund ��ill allow for the transfer of the remainin� fund balance of the
2002 COP Police Facilin� Project Fund, which ���ill be closed; and
WHEREAS. the appropriation of $6�0,000 is needed to address the cost of issuance in
the 2014 Refundine COP Fund: and
�1'HEREAS, the transfers to the Local Law� Enforcement Block Grant Proeram ($11,696),
Technoloey Replacement Fund ($600,000), Residential Construction/Con��ersion Fund
($200,000). and Development Services Fund (�13.i,471) from the General Fund result in a
positi��e impact to these funds.
NOVd. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED b�� the Citv Council of the Citv of Chula
Vista, that it does hereb�� amend the Fiscal Year 2013/2014 budeet and approve the followino
appropriations:
