At a public hearing held on Monday, July 12, 1971, the Board
of Appeals approved the adoption of the Uniform Building Code,
Volume III, Housing, 1970 Edition. �
in accordance with attached Resolution No. 34, the Board I
recommends the adoption of the attached Ordinance.

� RESOLUTZON NO. 34
RESOLIIPION OF THE CITY BOARD OF APPEALS REWMMENDING
TO THE CITY COIJNCIL THE ADOPTION OF THE 1970 EDITION
OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING �DE� VOLUME III, HOUSING.
, WF�REAS, as the Housing Code has overlapping requirements
with its companion code, the Uniform Building Code, it becomes
necessazy to adopt the Uniform Housing Code, 1970 Edition, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals set the time and place for
a hearinq on said Code adoption, and notice of said hearing was
given by the publication in a newspaper of general circulation in
the City at least ten days prior to the date of .said hearing, and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held at said time and place,
namely Monday, July twelfth, 1971, before the Board of Appeals, and
said hearing was thereafter closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
l. From facts presented to the Board of Appeals, the Board
finds that public necessity, safety, convenience, and general welfare
require the adoption of the 1970 Edition of the Unifoxm Building Code,
Volinne III, Housing.
2. The Board o£ Appeals recommends to the City Council that
said Uniform Building Code, Volume IIZ, Housing, 1970 Edition, be
adopted.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF APPEALS OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA
the twelfth day of July 1971, by the following vote, to-wit:
AYES: Members Johnson, saity, Ramm, Welsh, Offerman and Chanoux
