Cdy Manager Sandova/ thanked the Kaiser Foundation for ds continued funding ol a swim program (or
fourth graders, as well as the Relhink Your Dnnk campaign, a�med at educating children abouf nutntious
beverage choices.
He also announced that the Council meeting of Apnl 1, 2014 would be cancelled.

Councilmember Salas announced an upcoming film showing on March 28, 2074 titled 'Cesar Chavez,
an American Hero,'in honor ot Cesar Chavez'birthday on Ma/ch 3.
Counci/membe� Ramirez spoke in suppoR of a Council drscussion to cla�fy the Council's di2c6on fo
staH on the use of the avadable Telephone Users Tax (TU'n funds
Councilmembe� Bensoussan announced the Dog Day in the Pailr fundraise�, benefitting a futu2 dog
parlr in Eucatyptus Park, on April 5, 2014. She acknow/edged Baldwin and Son's for its $5,000
contnbution toward the dog park.
Mayur Cox paid tribute to Lf. Commande� Sidney Monis, Jr., father of former Chula Vsta City Manager
Sid Morris.
Ma}ror Cox announced that the Council would convene in closed session to discuss fhe items listed
below.
Ma}ror Cox recessed the meeting at 4:33 p.m. The Council 2convened in Closed Session at 4:50 p_m.,
with all members present.
