SUBJECT: Ordinance - Amending Ordinance No. 1022 relating to
ambulance regulations
Your office is requested to prepare the necessary [ ] Resolution;
( X] Ordinance; [ ] Agreement, to be presented to the City Council for
action on , 19_, on the subject matter .

The Ordinance , No. 1022 , relating to ambulance regulations should be
amended to allow the specialty emergency medical transportation team
to enter the City. Conditions should be stipulated so that the
medical team will actually man the ambulance unit and must include
a medical doctor as a member of the team in the ambulance. The unit
will handle transporting of special medical cases requring such a
team in cases which Bay Cities Ambulance Service is not equipped to
handle.
It should be required that such ambulances , through their base station ,
will advise the Chula Vista Police Department that such a unit is
entering the City and it shall not be deterred by the Police Department.
The ambulance service providing such special runs should be subject to
a business license fee .
