, ORDINANCE NO. 1657
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION TO SAID CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY KNOWN AND DESiGNATED AS EAST H STREET/
I-805 ANNEXATION
The City Council of the City o£ Chula Vista does hereby ordain
as follows:
WHEREAS , on the 12th day of August 1975
, there was filed in the office' of the City Clerk of the City of� Chu2a�Vista
a written petition for the annexation to, incorporat'ion and inc3usion in,
the City of Chula Vista of certain uninhabited terricory, par't'icnlarly
described in said petition; in the County of San Diego, State of Calif-
ornia, which territory is contiguous to che City of Chula Vista and does
not consist wholly or partiy of Eide or submerged lands owned by the
State of California, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939 , as amended, and '
WHEREAS, said per'i'tion was signed by all of the owners of
land in such territory, representing all of the assessed value of
such territory, according to the las't preceding equalized assessment
roll of the County of San Diego in which such territory is situated,
and
WHEREAS , said petition 'was accompanied by the writ'ten consent
of all of the owners of said uninhabited territory subject to taxation;
that the same may be taxed to pay its proportionate share of any in-
debtedness or liability of Lhe City of Chula Vista, contracted prior
to or existing at the time 'of the annexat�on thereof, and
WHEREAS , pursuant to' the provisions of Section 54 , 797 . 1 of the
Government Code of the State of California, Lhe Planning Commission of
the City of Chula Vista has� reviewed said peticion and has approved
the annexation proposed therein, and has recommended that the City
Council annex said cerritory without further notice or hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by rhe City Council of the
City of Chula Vista as follows :
SECTION I : That said Council does hereby approve the annexa-
tion to the City of Chu1a Vista of that certain terricory in the County
of San Diego, State of California, designated as
EAST H STREET/I-805 ANNEXATION
and that said territory, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" ,
attached hereto and by reference made a parE hereof, the same as though
fully set forth herein be, and the same is hereby annexed co che Cicy of
Chula Vista.
SECTION Ii : This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
on the thirty-first day from 'and after its pasaage and approval .
SECTION III : Annexatior. proceedings adopted hereby shall be
complete and the annexed terricory shall become incorp�rated into the
City e£fective from and after the date of certification and filing by
the Secretary of Sta'te .
