A�Y ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING SECTIONS
19.44.040 AND 19.46.040 OF THE CHULA VISTA MWiICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO CONDITIONAL USES IN THE LIMITED INDUSTRIAL
- AND GENERAL INDUSTRIAL ZONES
By a unanimous vote on December 16, 1980, the City Council
placed the ordinance on its second reading and adoption.
It permits certain commercial land uses to be established in industrial
zones through the conditional use permit process. The Planning
Commission adopted the Negative Declaration on• IS-81-17 on
October 14, 1980.

ORDINANCE NO. 1927 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING
SECTIONS 19. 44. 040 AND 19. 46. 040 OF THE CHULA VISTA
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CONDITIONAL USES IN THE
LIMITED INDUSTRIAL AND GENERAL INDUSTRIAL ZONES
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista finds as
follaas:
That in accordance with the attached Negative
Declaration, ZS-81-17 and the findings therein, the proposed
amendment to the Chula Vista Municipal Code will not have a
significant impact upon the environment, and the City Council
hereby certifies that the Negative Declaration was prepared in
accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970,
as amended.
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does ordain
as follows:
SECTION I : That Section 19. 44. 040 of the Chula Vista
Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto a new subsection M to read as folloas:
Sec. 19. 44. 040 Conditional Uses .
M. Retail distribution centers and manufacturers '
outlets which require extensive floor areas for the
storage and display of inerchandise, and the
high-volume, warehouse-type sale of goods. Con-
ditional use permit applications for the establish-
ment of retail commercial sales uses, covered by the
provisions of this subsection, shall be considered
by the City Council subsequent to its receipt of
recommendations thereon from the Planning Commis-
sion.
SECTION II : That Section 19. 46. 040 of the Chula Vista
Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto a new subsection G to read as follaas:
Sec. 19. 46. 040 Conditional Uses.

SECTION ZII: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force and effect on the thirty-first day from and after its
adoption.
