HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1978-1844 t �� . : v ORDINANCE N0. 1844 �\ ORDI\ANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDI\G SECTION 10.72.050 OF THE CHULA VISTA �NNICIPAL CODE REGARDING BICYCLE LICENSE FEES The ordinance, adopted by a unanimous vote of the City Council, is in compliance with the California Vehicle Code, Section 39004 �ahich states that all bicycle licenses must be renewed after January 1, 1979. Renewals are valid for three years at a fee of three dollars. New registrations after December 31, 1978 �aill require the purchase of a bicycle license for a fee of one dollar. Fulasz, CPf'/� City Clerk Dated: November 28, 1978 I / � �� � Revised 11-9-78 ORDINANCE NO . 1844 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING SECTION 10 . 72 .050 OF THE CHULA VISTA MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING BICYCLE LICENSE FEES The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does ordain as follows : SECTION I : That Section 10 .72. 050 of the Chula Vista Municipal Code be , and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : Sec. 10 .72 . 050 License-Application-Fee Application for a bicycle license and license plate ' or license indicia furnished by the state �shall be made upon a form provided by the City and retained by the Chief of Police. A license fee of one dollar sha11 be paid in advance to the city before any such license is granted . Effective January 1, 1979 , all bicycle licenses must be renewed. Renewals are valid for three years and shall be indicated by a renewal sticker affixed parallel to and above or below the license. New registrations after December 31 , 1978 will require the purchase of a bicycle license ' (one dollar) and a renewal sticker valid for three years (three dollars) . Said fees shall be used to defray the cost of admin- istering the bicycle licensing program or to reimburse bicycle dealers for any services which they may provide . In addition, the fees may be used to imorove bicycle safety programs and establish bicycle facilities , in- cluding bicycle paths and lanes . SECTION II : This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect on the thirty-first day from and after its passage.
