PCZ-72-M RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLAIJNING COMMISSION RECOMt4ENDING TO THE _ CITY COUNCIL THE CHAtJGE OF ZONE FOR APPROXIMATELY 3'-Z ACRES ON THE WEST SIDE OF INDUSTRIAL BOULEVARD, SOUTH OF L STREET, FROM I TO I-L WHEREAS, a duly verified application for a change of zone was filed with the Planning Department by Carlin Construction Company on the 26th day of May, 1972, Document PJumber PCZ-72-M, and , `°°1 WHEREAS, said application requested that approximately 3%Z acres on the west side of Industrial Boulevard, south of L Street, more particularly described _ in said Document, be reclassified from I to I-L, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission set the time and place for a hearing on said application, and notice of said hearing, together with its purpose, was given by the publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the City at least ten days prior to the date of said hearing, and WHEREAS, a hearing was held at said tine and place, namely 7:00 p.m. , June 19, 1972, Council Chamber, Civic Center, 276 Fourth Avenue, before the Planning Cormnission, and said hearing was thereafter closed. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: . 1 . From facts presented to the Cortunission, the Corrunission finds that public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice. require the change of zone of approximately 3Z acres on the west side of Industrial Boulevard, south of L Street from I to I-L with all setbacks to be in accordance with the I-L zone. 2. The findings of fact in support of said determination are as follows: a. All of the present uses on the property, except the service station, are principle permitted uses in the I-L Limited Industrial Zone. Good zoning practice would dictate that the zoning and land uses conform to one another. b. The proposed change in zoning will conform with the General Plan which designates the area for research and limited industrial uses. 3. The Planning Correnission recortunends to the .City Council that said change be granted. 4. That this resolution be transmitted, alongaith the application to the City Council , and a copy of this resolution shall be .transmitted to the applicat. . I : . .'
