AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA AMENDING SECTIONS 18. 66 AND 18. 71 OF CHAPTER 18
OF THE CHULA VISTA CITY CODE, ALL RELATING TO THE LICENS-
ING OF POOL AND BILLIARD HALLS AND THE TABLES AND DEVICES
USED THEREIN
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
ordain as follows :
SECTION I : That Section 18. 66 of Chapter 18 of the Chula
Vista City Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows :
Sec. 18 . 66 . Pool and Billiard Halls or any Premises where
Pool or Billiar Tables or Pinball Machines
are Maintained for Amusement.
Every person conducting, managing or carrying on the
business of a pool hall or billiard hall, or maintaining
any premises wherein pool or billiard tables or pinball
machines are maintained for the amusement of the public,
shall pay a license fee of twenty dollars per annum,
and in addition thereto shall pay the sum of twelve
dollars per annum for each and every pool table or
billiard table and fifteen dollars per quarter for each
pinball machine maintained therein.
SECTZON II : That Section 18 . 71 of Chapter 18 of the Chula
Vista City Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows :
Sec. 18 . 71 City to Issue Receipts for Pool, Billiard
and Card Tables, Bowling Alleys and Pinball
Machines .
The Director of Finance shall issue a receipt for each
separate pool table, billiard table, card table, bowling
alley license or pinball machines as in this chapter
required, and such receipt shall be attached to such pool
table, billiard table, card table, bowling alley, or pin-
ball machine, and preserved thereon during the full term
for which such receipt was issued.
SECTION III : A violation of any provision or the failure
to comply with any of the requirements of this ordinance shall constitute
a misdemeanor. Any person convicted of such violation or such failure
shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500. 00 or by imprison-
ment in the County jail for a period of not more than six months , or by
both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION IV: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force on the thirty-first day from and after its passage and approval.
