CALL TO ORDER
Regular Meetings of the City Council and the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the Ciry ot
Chula Vista were called to order at 2:04 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located in City Hall, 276 FouRh
Avenue, Chula Vista, Cali/omia.
ROLL CALL:

City Manager Sandoval led the Pledge of Allegiance.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Regarding Item i0, Gty Attomey Googins announced that the total fiscal impact lor the item was pro�ected to
be $250,000:appmximately$175,000 lor the transacfional contract and$75,000 for the land use entiilement
contract. He stated that, 2garding Item 70B, the proposed firm would not be available to provide the services
needed and stated that sfaB would request Council consideration on a modification of the item at a later date.
Item 106 was not conside�ed at that time.

Narassment and Survedlance, and expressed concem regarding organized stalking.
David Danc�u, Chula Vista resident, expressed concem regarding the construction timeline for Orange Park
and negaGve press 2ga�ding events in the Gty. Mayor Cox requested that Ciry Manager Sandoval provide
an update to the Counal on the O�ange Park timeline.

City Manager Sandoval prowded mformation on the upcoming Counctl Workshop on January 9, 2014 He
also stated that Chiel Bejarano would provide a report to Council regarding alcohol-relatedl issues in the City
at an upcoming meeting

Mayor Cox announced an upcoming Affordable Care Act(orum that would be held on January 11, 2014. She
also reported on the groundbreaMng of Sf. Paul's assisted living faci6ty
COUNCILMEMBERS' COMMENTS
Deputy Mayor Aguilar w�shed everyone a happy new year.
Councilmember Ramirez spoke in support of al/owing Mr. Perno to give an extended presentation at the
Council's workshop on January 9, 2014 Mayor Cox suggested Mr. Pemo coordinate with the Police
Department
Councilmember Aensoussan announced the upcoming free Caldomia-lriendly landscape training on January
11, 2014. She requested individuals interested in volunteenng/or the 2014 Harbor Fest to contact her o�ce
She stated that the initial event/or pog Day in the Park to raise money for a dog park in Eucalyptus Park was
tentatively scheduled for March 2014
Counalmember Salas sfated she looked fonvard to working with the Council in 2014 and acknow/edged
Mayor Cox for her leadership.
