HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1995-18013 RESOLUTION NO. 18013 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND VARIOUS COMMUNITY GROUPS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENTS WHEREAS, the City participates in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs, a principal goal of which is to fund projects and services which will benefit low-income Chula Vista households; and WHEREAS, the City will be entering into a separate funding agreement with HUD for the City's 1995-96 CDBG entitlement; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista held a public hearing and allocated CDBG entitlement and other unallocated funds on June 6, 1995, a portion of which was allocated for the Grantees; and WHEREAS, the City is desirous of having certain services for the benefit of low income households performed by the Grantee; and WHEREAS, Grantees warrant and represent that they are experienced and staffed in a manner such that they can prepare and deliver the services required by Grantor within the timeframes herein provided all in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA does hereby find, order, determine, and resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby approve the following Agreements, known by the following Document Number adjacent thereto, copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk. The City Council does hereby direct and authorize the Mayor of the City of Chula Vista to execute said contracts for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista. SECTION 3. This resolution shall take and be in full force and effect immediately upon the passage and adoption thereof. Resolution No. 18013 Page 3 SECTION 4, The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter in the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption hereof in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and opted.
