HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1996-18299 RESOLUTION NO. 18299 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING THE ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR THE FY 1996-97 SPREAD OF ASSESSMENTS FOR EASTLAKE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT 1, DECLARING THE INTENTION TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS AND SETTING JUNE 18, 1996 AT 6:00 P.M. AND JULY 16, 1996 AT 6:00 P.M. AS THE DATES AND TIMES FOR THE PUBLIC HEARINGS WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 1, Part 2 of Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways Code, also known as "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972" and Chula Vista Municipal Code Chapter 17.07, the City Engineer has prepared and filed the annual reports for all existing Open Space Maintenance Districts in the City; and WHEREAS, these reports were prepared by the City Engineer or under his direction and are presented to Council for approval in order to proceed with the public hearings set for June 18 and July 16, 1996, in accordance with the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, The report covers Eastlake Maintenance District 1; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department will conduct an information meeting for all property owners within this district at which time staff will explain the proposed budget; and WHEREAS, the proposed assessment for Fiscal Year 1996-97 is as follows: TABLE 1 PRIOR FY'S VS. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby approve the Engineer's report to declare its intention to levy and collect Resolution 18299 Page 2 assessments for the FY 1996-97 for the spread of assessments for Eastlake Maintenance District 1, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby set June 18, 1996 at 6:00 p.m. and July 16, 1996 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City of Chula Vista, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, California as the dates and times for the public hearings on said assessment.
