Macaulay presented a telegram from Congressman Phil D. Swing, asking that the Coronado Belt Line railroad be moved to the East side of the land now proposed for this project, from its present location on the West side, and asking if the city would be willing to deed additional water front land to the Government, if the project is carried through. Mr. Macaulay stated that the S .D. & A. Railway Company is willing to make the change in the railroad, and Councilman Scott offered Resolution No.273 , which is a resolution stating that the city will use its authority to make a grant of additional water front land. It was read, and was passed, adopted and approved, as read, by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes : Councilmen Barnes , Peters , Scott, Lyons . Noes : None. Absent: Councilman Hawkins . Councilman Scott then o£fered Resolution No.274, which .is: a resolution directing the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for dredging and filling in certain tide lands , mentioned in the resolution. It was read, and was passed, adopted and approved, as read, by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes : Councilmen Barnes , Peters , Scott, Lyons . Noes : None. Absent: Councilman Hawkins .
