HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2014-016 RESOLUTION NO. 2014-016 RESOLUTIOI�' OF THE CI7Y COUTiCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AIvIEND1NG CHAPTER 16 (DEVELOPA4ENT .4ND II`'-LIEU FEES) OF THE CIT1"S MASTER FEE SCHEDULE WHEREAS, Chapter 17.10 of the Municipal Code sets forth the requirements for the dedication and constructio� of parklands as a condition of new development; and WHEREAS. Section 17.10.120 of the Municipal Code currentl}� requires new hotels and motels to dedicate and construct parklands; and VdHEREAS, the Parkland Acquisition and De��elopment (PAD) fee program provides a mechanism for collectine Fees in-lieu of dedicatine and/or constructing parklands; and WHEREAS, Chapter 16 of the Cit}�'s Master Fee Schedule establishes PAD fees for multiple land use catesories; and WHEREAS, the City's standazd for park lands is 3 acres per 1,000 population; and WHEREAS, hotels and motels do not drive changes in population; and WHEREAS, the Council N�ishes to amend Chapter 16 of the City's Master Fee Schedule, as set forth in Exhibit l, attached and incorporated into this Resolution by reference as if set forth in full. BE IT RESOLVED bv the Citv Council of the Cit�� of Chula Vista that it does hereby amend Chapter 16 (Development and In-Lieu Fees) of the City`s Master Fee Schedule as reflected in Eshibit 1 to this Resolution.
