RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA APPROPRIATING ~22,782 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
GENERAL FUND BALANCE FOR INTERIM FINANCING OF A
VISITOR DISPLAY AT THE SAN DIEGO CONVENTION CENTER
AND MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS AT THE CHULA VISTA VISITOR
INFORMATION CENTER
WHEREAS, the City Council will be considering a proposed Visitor Promotion Budget
of ~150,000 during Council's budget deliberations for FY 95-96; and,
WHEREAS, both staff and the Chamber of Commerce have recommended that two of
the items being proposed for the FY 95--96 Visitor Promotion Budget are particularly time
sensitive, namely a visitor display at the San Diego Convention Center and major
improvements at the Chula Vista Visitor Information Center, with an estimated cost of
$22,782.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista
that the amount of $22,782 is hereby appropriated to a Visitor Promotion account to be
established within the Community Promotions budget from the unappropriated General Fund
balance for interim financing of a visitor display at the San Diego Convention Center and major
improvements at the Chula Vista Visitor Information Center.
