Resolution Consenting to Consolidation
of Chula Vista City School District
Bond Election, Apportionment Authorization Election, and Maximum Tax Rate Election
With General Municipal Election To Be
Held in the City of Chula Vista.

WHEREAS, on April 12, 1966 the General Municipal Election
will be held in the City of Chula Vista; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Chula Vista
City School District has ordered that a combined bond election,
apportionment authorization election, and maximum tax rate election
be held on the same day, April 12, 1966, within the boundaries
of the Chula Vista City School District; and
WHEREAS, the territory of the Chula Vista
is in part the same as the territory of the City iof ChulalVi�sta�ic�,
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of h
Article XII, at each general municipal election eitherthreeiora'
two members of the Board of Education of the Chula Vista City
School District, as the case may be, are elected to fill vacancies
on said Board as provided in the Charter; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Chula Vista City
School District has requested this City Council to give its written
approval of i�consent tol the consolidation of the Chula Vista City
election, and maximum tax rate electionnwith the hGeneral�Mur
Election of the City of Chula Vista to be held on Tuesday, iicipal
April 12, 1966; and

public interest that
THEREFORE
IT IS RESOLVED that pursuant to the provisions of Sections
21752, 19590, 20803, and Sections l
Education Code; and Chapter 4 ! 333"1338' inclusive, of the
p
of Part 2, of Division 12, of the Electigons Code, Council
of the City of Chula Vista hereby approves and consents to the
consolidation of the Chula Vista City School District bond
election, apportionment authorization election, and maximum tax
rate election with the General Municipal Election of the City of
Chula Vista to be held on Tuesday, April 12, : 966.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 23307
of the Elections Code, (a) the elections shall be held in all
respects as if there were only one election, (b) only one form of
ballot shall be used, and (c) the returns
ofthe school
bond election, apportionment authorization election, and imaximum
tax rate election will be canvassed by the City
City of Chula Vista as part of the canvaaa of the Council
General Municipal Election.

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant
Section 1335 and Elections Code Section 23305 Education Code

every case, be the same and there polling hours, shall, in

precincts.
