1VHEREAS , the City Council desires to establish the standards of

NO\Y/, THE2EFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, that the followino Standards shal � �
aoply to all existino and future dedicated alleys wifhin the City,
I , For the purpose of this R¢ solution ,, ref¢ rence to Standard
Sp¢cifications indicetes the Standard Sp¢cifications of the City of San
Dieco, Part I , filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of San
Dieco, April 9, 1958, Document No. 570019.
2, Surfacino of alleys shall be made with Class "A" Portland
C¢ment Concret¢, in accordance with S¢ction 32 of the Standard Sp¢ci _
ficatioos .
3 . The surfacing shall be installed in accordance with 5¢ction 7
of the Standard Sp¢cifications .
4. AIl ¢ys locafed in , or servino, comm¢rcial or industrial zones
shall be a minimum of six 161 inches thick� and shall b¢ p� aced on a

; Class "A" subgrade , unless expansion is greater Ihan thre.e 131 per cent
as determined by the Cdlifornia Bearina Rafio Method , In such case ;
imported bas'e requir¢ments or subgrade treatment shall be determin¢d by
_ the City Enoineer in accordanc¢ w�ith tfie California Bearinp Ratio M¢thod ,
in accordance with $ection 4 .05 of the Standard Specificatlons .
5 . Alleys locat¢d in a' residential zo�e shall be a minimum of five

I, BE IT FURTHER P.ESOLVED, that no reconstruction will be made by City
forces on existing alleys which heve�not be¢n improv¢d to the Standards
adopted by. this R¢solution .
