HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1997-18667 RESOLUTION NO. 18667 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING THE ENGINEER'S REPORTS FOR THE FY 1997-98 SPREAD OF ASSESSMENTS FOR CITY OPEN SPACE MAINTENANCE DISTRICTS 1-9, 11,14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 26, 31, 33, BAY BOULEVARD AND TOWN CENTRE, DECLARING THE INTENTION TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS AND SETTING JUNE 17, 1997 AT 6:00 P.M. AND JULY 15, 1997 AT 6:00 P.M. AS THE DATES AND TIMES FOR THE PUBLIC HEARINGS WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 1, Part 2 of Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways Code, also known as "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972" and Chula Vista Municipal Code Chapter 17.07, the City Engineer prepared and filed the annual reports for all existing Open Space Maintenance Districts in the City; and WHEREAS, these reports were prepared by the City Engineer or under his direction and are presented to Council for approval in order to proceed with public hearings set for June 17 and July 15, 1997, in accordance with the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972". The reports cover the following districts: 1. Open Space District Nos. 1-9,11,14,15,17,18, 20, 23, 24, 26, 31 and 33. 2. Bay Boulevard and Town Centre Landscaping Districts WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department conducted an informal meeting for all property owners within each district at which time staff explained the proposed budget; and WHEREAS, the proposed assessments for Fiscal Year 1997-98 are as follows: TABLE 2 PRIOR FY'S VS. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby approve the Engineer's reports for the FY 1997-98 spread of assessments for City Open Space Maintenance Districts 1-9, 11,14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 26, 31,33, Bay Boulevard and Town Centre, and declare its intention to levy and collect assessments. BE (T FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby set June 17, 1997 at 6:00 p.m. and July 15, 1997 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City of Chula Vista, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, California as the dates and times for the public hearings on said assessments. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish said assessments pursuant to Government Code Section 6063.
