Council Chambers. located in Cirv Hall. 276 Fourth Avenue. Chula Vista. California.

Staff recommendation: Authorit< adopt the resolution.
ACTION: Mayor Cos moved to approve staffs recommendations and offered Consent
Calendaz Items 1 through 8, headings read; test waived. Deputy A4ayor
Bensoussan seconded the motion. and it tamed 4-0.
ITEMS REMOVED FROM THE CONSENT CALENDAR
There were none.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Stan O'Hoppe; Chula \rista resident; expressed concern regarding skateboarders and bicyclists in
pedestrian areas, and other concerns regarding quality of life in Chula Vista.
Carla Villa, Chula Vista resident, spoke regarding the settlement of litigation pertaining to the
Telephone User's Tax and announced the deadline to claim a refund was July 31.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
9. CONSIDERATION OF THE SALE OF SPACE 37 AT ORANGE TREE
MOBILEHOME PARK (Director of Development Sen~ices)
Notice of the hearing was given in accordance with legal requirements, and the hearing was held
on the date and no earlier than the time specified in the notice.
Mayor Cox opened the public hearing. There being no members of the public who wished to
speak; Mayor Cox closed the public hearing.
ACTION: Councilmember Salas moved to adopt Resolution 2013-0~6, heading read; text
waived. Councilmember Aguilar seconded the motion. and it carried 4-0.

RESOLUTION NO. 20li-056 OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA APPROVING THE REAL ESTATE PURCHASE CONTRACT AND
AUTHORIZING THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO
EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS FOR SPACE 37 AT
ORANGE TREE MOBILEHOME PARK
10. CONSIDERATION OF ESTABLISHING AN EASTERN URBAN CENTER
PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE AND THE AREA OF

Staff recommendation: Council continue the public hearing to August 6, 2013.
Cii<- Attorney Googins stated that the public hearing for Item ] 0 would be continued to the Cite
Council meeting of August 6, 2013, at 2:00 p.m.

11. CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS
There were none.
12. MAYOR'S REPORTS
Mayor Coa announced that former Solana Beach Mayor, .loe Kellejian, encourased other cities
in the region to follow Chula Vista and ban smoking in outdoor restaurant patios.
L3. COUNCILMEMBERS' COMMENTS
Councilmember Bensoussan:
A. Consideration of City endorsement of the second annual Chula Vista powwow "South
Bayfront Po~i~Wow;" to be held on the bayfront August 10, and 11, 2013.
At the request of Deputy Mayor Bensoussan, there was consensus of the Council to endorse the
second annual Chula Vista po~~~~~~o~~~; "South Bayfront PowWow."
Deputy Mayor Bensoussan announced the Harbor Fest scheduled for September 21, 2013 and
that the Port District would be donating $50;000 for the event.
B. Consideration of declaring September as Aris Month and adopt it as Arts Month on an
annual basis in perpetuity.
Item 13B was not heard.
Mayor Cox announced that the Council wou]d not convene in Closed Session and that Items 14
and 15 would not be heard.
