A Re solution Approving the Adoption of the Final Budget
of the City of Chula Vista for the Fiscal Year Beginning
July 1, 1963, and Ending June 30, 1964
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Charter of the City of Chula Vista,
sections 1104 and 1l05, the City Council is required to adopt a budget for the fiscal year
beginning July I, 1963,. and ending June 30, 1964, and '
WHEREAS, the City Council has prepared and filed with the City Clerk its
tentative budget, and
WHEREAS, due notice has been given by the City Clerk, as required by law, that.
said tentative budget is on file and open to inspection by anyone interested, and
WHEREAS, a hear'ing has been held on said tentative budget as required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE' CITY COUNCIL, that there is
hereby appropriated out of the' Treasury of the City,of Chula Vista for municipal purposes
and for use by the various departments, the amounts shown in the following control accounts:

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that out of the' 'estimated unappropriated surplus
account of the General Fund for the fiscal year 1963 -64 that at least .407,996,00 be
reserved for Capital Development purposes as scheduled in the General Fund Budget.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a reserve for equipment be established in.
the amount of 1,600.00.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that unclassified positions be increased 50/0 in the
1963-64 Budget:'
Administrative Officer to 16:048.00 per annum
Finance Officer to 12,024.00 per annum
Librarian to 8,556.00 per annum'
City Attorney to 10,480.00 per annum
Secretary to Administrator .to 5,432.00 per annum
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriations above are approved as the
budget for the 1963-64 fiscal year and that the Administrative Officer and. Finance Officer
be authorized to transfer appropriations within the control accounts provided no change is
made in the total amount provided for anyone department.

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Officer from time to time wherein
possible inve st temporarily idle funds from anyone fund in legal.inve stments provided by
law for charter cities:
