HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-599 RESOLUTION N0. 599 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMN?EIQDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE CHANGE OF ZONE FOR 288 F STREET UdHEREA5, a duly verified application for a change of zone was fled with the City Clerk on 6th day of October, 1969, Document Number 69-U, Zd in'HEREAS, said application requested that the property located at 88 F Street more particularly described in said Document, be reclassified rom C-T zone to R-3H zone, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission set the time and place for a caring on said application, and notice of said hearing, together with its irpose, was given by the publication in a newspaper of general circulation Z the City at least 10 days prior to the date of said hearing, and WHEREAS, a hearing was held at said time and place, namely 7 p.rm. ~nday, October 27, 1969, Council Chamber, Civic Center, 276 Guava Avenue, >_fore the Planning Commission, and said hearing, was thereafter closed. NOW THEREFORE P,E IT RESOLVED AS FGLLOWS: 1. From facts presented to the Commission, the Commission finds Zat public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice =_quire the change of zone for property at 288 F Street from C-T (thorouc!h- ire-commercial) to R-3-fi (multiple-family, high-rise). 2. The findings of fact in support of said determination are as allows: a. The very high density zone is in conformance with the proposed revisions to the General Plan. b. The higher density adjacent to the Third Avenue shopping district will strengthen the market in this area. c. Since the property does not front on Third Avenue, the commercial value of the property is diminished. 3. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that yid reclassification be granted. 4.
