EIR-77-4 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT WHEREAS, the Chula Vista Redevelopment Agency wishes to proceed with the implementation of the first phase of Chula-Vista Bayfront Redevelopment, consisting of extension and alignment of Tidelands Ave- nue, preliminary grading plan for the northern section of the Bayfront area, development and alignment of utility corridors, the drainage plan for the northern section, alignments and extensions of E and F Streets, and enhancement of impacted and degraded marsh land and upland areas immediately contiguous to roadway improvements, and WHEREAS, the Chula Vista Redevelopment Agency contracted with WESTEC Services, Inc., an environmental consultant, for the preparation of a draft Environmental Impact Report, and WHEREAS, Westec Services, Inc, submitted a preliminary draft Environ- mental Impact Report on February 14, 1977 for review by the Chula Vista Redevelopment Agency, other local agencies, State and Federal agencies, and WHEREAS, legal notice was given on the availability of said draft Environmental Impact Report on March 9, 1977, and a notice of the com- pletion was filed with the Secretary for Resources for the State of Cali- fornia on March 11, 1977, and WHEREAS, said draft Environmental Impact Report was available for public review and scrutiny for a period in excess of 30 days, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Chula Vista held a public hearing on said draft Environmental Impact Report on May 11, 1977 and June 8, 1977. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: From the facts presented to the Planning Commission, the Commission finds said Environmental Impact Report has been prepared that in accord- ance with. the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, the California Administrative Code and the Environmental Review Policy of the City. of Chula Vista and hereby adopts said Environmental Impact Report as the City of Chula Vista's final Environmental Impact Report on said project. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA this 22nd day of June 1977, by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Commissioners Renneisen, R. Johnson, Smith, Chandler, G. Johnson and Starr NOES: None ABSENT: Commissioner Pressutti 7 ~ 1 Chairman ATTEST: Secretary
