EIR-74-3 SUPPLEMENT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT WHEREAS, Telegraph Canyon Group, Ltd. wishes to receive approval of a precise plan for development of the area located north of Telegraph Canyon Road between Halecrest and Crest Drive with a community shopping center known as Canyon Plaza, and WHEREAS, the Environmental Review Committee of the City of Chula Vista reviewed the development proposal and found that based on more specific informa- tion in the development plan and changes in circumstances under which the project is proposed to be carried out EIR-74-3 was inadequate and the information contained therein was in need of update, and WHEREAS, Telegraph Canyon Group, Ltd. contracted with Project Design Consultants, an environmental consultant listed by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista as qualified for the preparation of environmental impact reports for the city, and WHEREAS, on July 13, 1977 Project Design Consultants submitted information to the City of Chula Vista for the preparation of a draft Supplement to EIR-74-3, and WHEREAS, after independent review and analysis of said information, the Environmental Review Committee of the City of Chula Vista issued a draft Supple- mental Environmental Impact Report on said proposed precise plan on July 28, 1977, and ,.WHEREAS, a notice of completion was filed with the Secretary of Resources for the State of California on July 29, 1977 and a legal notice of availability of said draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report was given on July 29, 1977, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Chula Vista held a public hearing on said draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report on August 24, 1977. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: From the facts presented to the Planning Commission the Planning Commission finds that said Supplemental Environmental Impact Report has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, the California Administrative Code, and the Environmental Review Policy of the City of Chula Vista and hereby so certifies, subject to the inclusion of testimony at said public hearing, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission certifies that it has reviewed the information in said Environmental Impact Report and considered the information therein as it reaches a recommendation to the City Council on said project. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA this 24th day of August, 1977 by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Commissioners Renneisen, R.
