HomeMy WebLinkAboutEIR 76-08 RESOLUTION N0. EIR-76-8 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT. WHEREAS, the City of Chula Vista wishes to proceed with the formation of 1911 Act Assessment District for the financing of Las Flores Drive, a proposed public street southerly of "D" Street between Second Avenue and Minot Avenue, and WHEREAS, the Environmental Committee of the City of Chula Vista found that said project could have a significant effect on the environment, and WHEREAS, the Division of Engineering of the Public Works Department prepared an application for an Environmental Impact Report and submitted said application to the Environmental Review Section of the Planning Department prior to July 7, 1976, and WHEREAS, after independent review and analysis of said application the Environmental Review Committee of the City of Chula Vista issued the draft Environmental Impact Report on July 29, 1976 giving legal notice of the avail- ability of said Environmental Impact Report on August 1, 1976 and filing a Notice of Completion with the Secretary of Resources for the State of California, and WHEREAS, said draft Environmental Impact Report was available for public review and scrutiny fora period in excess of 30 days, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Chula Vista held a public hearing on said draft Environmental Impact Report on September 13, 1976. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: From the facts presented to the Planning Commission, the Commission found that said environmental Impact Report has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, the California Administrative Code and the Environmental Review Policy of the City of Chula Vista and hereby adopts said Environmental Impact Report as the City of Chula Vista's final Environmental Impact Report on said project. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA this 13th day of September 1976, by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Commissioners Pressutti, Floto, Starr, R.
