EIR-78-6 RESOLUTTON OF THE CITY PLANNING COPIMISSION ADOPTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL TP4PACT REPORT WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Chula Vista is requesting the expansion of Greg Rogers Park, easterly of Greg Rogers School and southerly of the extension of East Naples Street, and WHEREAS, the Chula Vista Fire Department proposed to locate a Fire Fighters Training Facility on the above noted site, and WHEREAS, the above noted departments submitted the necessary information to the. Planning Department for the preparation of a Draft Environmental Impact Report, and WHEREAS, the Environmental Review Section of the Planning Department prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report, which was issued by the Environmental Review Committee on January 6, 1978, and WHEREAS, a notice of availability of said Draft Environmental Impact Report was given in a newspaper of general circulation on January 8, 1978 and a notice of completion was filed with the Secretary of Resources for the State of California, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Chula Vista held a public hearing on said Draft Environmental Tmpact Report on February 1, 1978, and WHEREAS, it was determined by the Fire Department that subject site was not suitable for their proposed Fire Fighters Training Facility and requested that it be deleted from consideration, and WHEREAS, a final Environmental Impact Report was prepared by the Environmental Review Section of the Planning pepartment deleting the description and analysis of the Fire Fighters Training Facility.. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEp AS FOLLOWS: From the facts presented to the Planning Commission, the Commission finds that ETR-78-6 evaluating only the impacts of the proposed expansion of Greg Rogers Park has been prepared in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, the California Administrative Code, and the Environmental Review Policy of the City of Chula Vista, and hereby certifies that the Commission has reviewed the information in the Environmental Impact Reprt and will consider this information as it reaches a decision on the project. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSTON OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA this 22nd day of February, 1978 by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Commissioners Pressutti, Renneisen, Chandler, Smith, O'Neill and G.
